"...Whether I am painting on a canvas, writing a poem or picking up my camera, I feel ardently compelled to express the transcendentals of truth and beauty and goodness I see in the world..."

Artist Statement

I believe that creativity is an integral part of our human experience, it is in the blood of our very being. Creativity is not just a hobby, but a vital force within and around us. When I am in the studio making, it is the closest I am to some kind of heaven. It is the nearest I feel to the presence of the Divine.

In my work I explore the intersection of art and faith and its supreme relevance in all things. Despite the drudgery of life and how despairingly ugly the world can be, art whispers to us that something deeper yet exists. There is something within us I believe that longs for the eternal, for that which will never cease, never wilt, never die. The itching desire to leave behind something that will long outlive us speaks to the generations to come that we, too, were here, and we, too, hoped and dreamt and felt.

There is an infinite array of all kinds of beauty, if only we would take the time to observe the world around and within. There is just as much surprising beauty to be revealed in painting a bouquet of flowers that there is in a bowl of vegetables or a man making coffee and sandwiches. I create to invoke others' wonder at what can be so easily overlooked in the ordinary and everyday.

Art has the benevolent power to heal our fractured humanity, inspire us to see beyond our own shadows, and reveal deeper truths. Art has the ability to speak to the core of what it is to be human— our capacity to yearn, to sorrow, to lament, to joy and to wonder.

Biography

I am a multi-disciplinary artist currently based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. From a young age, I was drawn to various forms of artistic expression. My childhood love of drawing evolved into a passion for storytelling through photography, which led to a freelance career in my hometown of Sydney. During this time, I studied graphic design, specializing in publication design. This led me to self-publish and curate four volumes of an art and poetry magazine called Lola Ziggy.

In 2020, I moved to the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, where I currently reside. This move ignited a desire to reconnect with tangible art forms, leading me to study fine art at a local school in 2021. The pursuit of the fine arts led to starting a small business out of my studio teaching kids art and graduating with a Diploma in Art Therapy in 2024.

You will find me most days drinking copious amounts of tea reading in my gumtree abode, hosting dinner parties, surfing and exploring the lush greenery the Coast has to offer. And of course, getting up to colourful chaos in the studio.
